Nestled in the southern part of California's Sierra Nevada, Mineral King is an alpine valley with a rich history of mining and a community of multi-generational cabin families. Over 65 historical cabins are lovingly maintained by these folks who enjoy the spirit of pioneer life without electricity or cell phone service!
In partnership with Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park personnel, members of the cabin community volunteer time and materials to assure the cultural resources of this National Register area will be preserved and enjoyed by future generations to come.
